It looks like The Vikings have reached an agreement in principle with former Rams backup quarterback, however an official announcement has not been made. The Vikings are hoping to have the deal with the former purple backup cemented by the end of the weekend so that Frerotte can participate in the team’s upcoming minicamp activities.

Frerotte played with the Vikings in 2003 and 2004, and saw significant playing time when he filled in for the injured Daunte Culpepper, throwing for 690 yards with 7 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Frerotte is 36 years old.
